Research

AWH is committed to building research capacity in the region in collaboration with Tertiary Education Institutions. Collaborations include partnerships with University of Melbourne, Charles Sturt University, La Trobe University and University of New South Wales. Staff are encouraged to participate in research activities either as an investigator, partner or contributor of clinical expertise to research project and analysis. The BEST study: Best evidence for stroke therapy - facilitating clinician and patient uptake of evidence based stroke rehabilitation.

This project brings together people who have had a stroke, their caregivers, healthcare professionals and researchers, with the aim achieving the rehabilitation goals of stoke patients. Funded by the NSW Government Health Transition Research Grant, the BEST study is an Albury Wodonga Health - Charles Sturt University - Murrumbidgee Local Health District collaborative research project.
