(Link coming soon¬†) The Framework establishes a foundation for AWH to build on its community and consumer participation activities and provides a shared understanding of what engagement and participation means at AWH.

Volunteers from the AWH catchment community already link with staff in projects designed to improve services at AWH. Some achievements include:
AWH has a Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC), including volunteer community members who bring their own diverse experience and knowledge to their shared interest in the provision of good health care. This committee advises the AWH Board and Chief Executive on priority areas and issues requiring consumer and community participation, and on matters of community interest or concern. The Committee operates as a sub-committee of the AWH Board under a Terms of Reference. One of the CAC‚Äôs key tasks is to develop, implement and monitor the organisation‚Äôs Community Participation Plan (LINK).
CAC members are available to talk to community groups about the CAC‚Äôs activities and to discuss how others in the community may participate to ensure good quality patient care at AWH. If you would like a CAC members to speak to your local group, please contact Steph Simmons, as below:
