Acute Services

Albury Wodonga Health provides a range of services supported by multi disciplinary teams of clinicians including Specialist medical staff, Registrars, Residents, Interns, Registered Nurses, Midwives, Allied Health and Support staff.

Medical and Surgical Patients may be admitted to either Campus.

AWH is an accredited training facility supporting medical, nursing and allied health training.

Services provided by AWH include:

  • Emergency
  • Critical Care Services inlcuding Intensive Care, High Dependency and CCU.
  • Elective and Emergency Surgery inlcuding Orthopaedics, General Surgery, ENT, Urology, Gynaecology, Gastroenterology, Plastics, Faciomaxilliary, Ophthamology, Interventional Respiratory, Acute Pain Management, Paediatric Surgery and Medical procedures.
  • General Medicine
  • Respiratory
  • Cardiology
  • Endocronology
  • Dialysis/Nephrology
  • Gastroenterology
  • Sub-Acute services including Rehabilitation Medicine
  • Paediatrics
  • Obstetrics
  • Hospital in the Home (HITH)
  • Community/District Nursing

Discharge Planning:

Patient Flow Liaison Nurses will plan your discharge with you and your family.  Should you require additional care following your discharge the Complex Care Coordinator will assist you. Your discharge time will be scheduled for 10.00 am as this enables admission of other patients.
