The Dietetics Department provides clinical nutrition and Dietetics to all admitted services streams and community based programs across AWH as well as working collaboratively with AWH Foodservice.

Dieticians assess people’s nutritional needs and provide dietary advice across a large range of conditions such as Diabetes, heart disease and eating disorders. Advice is also provided to those people experiencing problems maintaining their weight and eating well e.g. whilst receiving treatment for cancer or other conditions that impact on their intake. Dieticians will also provide education and support for people who may need nutritional supplements or who are receiving their nutrition through feeding tubes.
