Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care is available to all patients and families connected to Albury Wodonga Health, regardless of religious affiliation. In fact you do not need any church background or connection to talk to pastoral care. Pastoral Care’s aim is to a listening ear in a nonjudgmental conversation about what is important or concerning you.

The Pastoral Care team is made up of one paid Pastoral Care Coordinator and a team of twenty volunteer pastoral care practitioners who are well trained and supported to fulfil their roles.

Pastoral Care offers an art group in Rehab in the Wodonga Campus. The aim is not to produce masterpieces but to allow people the opportunity to leave their mark and tell their story.Pastoral Care can also organize for you, a visit from your local clergy or representative of your faith community.

Chapels

Both campuses of Albury Wodonga Health have Chapels or Sacred Spaces. The chapel in Wodonga is called “Allawah”. Allawah is an Aboriginal word that means, “Sit down, rest here and stay awhile”. We hope you find these areas a place where you can rest, reflect and recharge.
