Albury Wodonga Health is proud to serve the dynamic and growing Albury Wodonga and broader community. Our vision is to grow with the community and provide the best regional healthcare in Australia, increase the range and complexity of local services, and build local skills and expertise to deliver world-class healthcare closer to home.
Developed in close collaboration with staff and stakeholders, AWH's Clinical Services Plan identifies the services needed for the Albury/Wodonga and border region in line with forecast population growth and community profile, over the next twenty years.
Since our establishment over ten years ago, we have expanded to include regional acute and sub-acute hospital services, ambulatory services, inpatient and community based mental health services and a range of community and primary health services. Our cardiology services have also grown to include a full suite of catheter services and we now house a regional cancer centre supporting patients and their families from diagnosis to oncology, radiotherapy and wellbeing services.
The Clinical Services Plan (CSP) describes the care our cross-border community needs now and into the future. Our communities deserve a world-class regional health service, access to a range of complex services andcommitment to developing local skills and expertise to deliver world-class healthcare closer to home. Much like the experience of the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre, the establishment of a fully resourced regional hospital will dramatically reduce the need for our community to travel outside the region for care.
