The Albury Wodonga Health Transition to Specialty Practice (TTSP) program is designed for experienced Registered Nurses and Allied Health Professionals (Social Work and Occupational Therapy) who want to transition into Mental Health. 

The program supports the professional and personal self-development of the experienced clinician as you transition to a confident and skilled Mental Health Clinician.

The TTSP program is designed for those who are qualified in Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Social Work, who have already commenced their post-study career. 

  • Tertiary Qualification in Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Social Work
  • AHPRA or AASW registration prior to commencement
  • Social Workers - Membership or meets the eligibility requirements for membership with the Australian Association of Social Work

Rotations can include Continuing Care Teams (CCT), Acute Community Intervention Services, Prevention and Recovery, Child and Youth Mental Health, Psychosocial Recovery Unit and Inpatient Units across our sites located in Albury, Wodonga, Beechworth, and Wangaratta. 

Rotations are designed to give you exposure and learning opportunities across the Mental Health functions at Albury Wodonga Health, and will help to embed your learning and grow your experience as a professional.

 The TTSP Program runs for two years. There are opportunities for ongoing employment with Albury Wodonga Health upon successful completion of the program.

AWH has access to the Regional Mental Health Workforce Incentive program. The Incentive program is designed by the Department of Health to support the attraction, relocation, and retention of mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) workers to Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Services across rural and regional Victoria.

Candidates relocating may be eligible for grants to cover expenses such as a removalist, travel fees, accommodation costs, school fees, etc.
