AWH are seeking people who have been a patient or the carer of a patient in our health service and are willing to get involved to improve the service we deliver. AWH recognises the value of the voice of our patients and their families and the need for their experience and expertise to help inform decisions about health care at the individual, service and system levels. There is evidence to support that the delivery of care that has incorporated consumers’ needs and preferences can lead to better health outcomes, better experiences for patients and their families and greater efficiency of care.
