Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) advises our border communities of the upcoming 12-hour industrial action initiated by the New South Wales Nurses and Midwives’ Association (NSWNMA), which will affect several clinical areas across our Albury Campus.
As we understand it, a total of 53 staff across the hospital will participate in the strike and key impacts include the cancellation of two theatre lists, with regrettably eight patients delayed for general surgery and ENT procedures.
AWH has a range of measures in place to ensure all other patient care and services are maintained during this industrial action.
At AWH, we respect the rights of our staff to participate in this industrial action. We have plans in place to mitigate disruptions so far as is possible, and any concerns regarding patient safety will be promptly addressed by our team.
We appreciate the ongoing dedication and professionalism of our staff and remain committed to maintaining open communication with all parties as we work through this period.
