Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) takes patient safety and the reliability of medical equipment extremely seriously and maintains stringent systems and processes to uphold the highest standards of care and equipment reliability.
Our highly qualified Biomedical Engineering team follows a rigorous maintenance regime for all patient-facing medical equipment. This includes scheduled preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and Australian Standard AS3551, as well as a robust fault detection and rectification process. If an issue is identified, the equipment is assessed, verified, and repaired or replaced in a timely manner to ensure ongoing patient safety.
