Cardiac Cath Lab

The 2011 Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) service plan identified the need to establish cardiac catheter services for the area with approximately 1,600 potential procedures annually. Funding of $5m was announced in August 2013 by the then-opposition liberal government for the development of a Cardiac Catheter Laboratory for Albury Wodonga Health. This funding was confirmed in the 2014 Commonwealth budget.

The Cardiac Cath Lab vision was realized this year with our first diagnostic Angiogram undertaken in July. In conjunction with our Tertiary partner St Vincent’s we are able to provide a full suite of Cath Lab services.
