Funding Vital Equipment

The Albury Wodonga Health Foundation  helps to fund the purchase of equipment that enables our clinicians to provide patients the best possible treatment across the Border Northeast.

With the support of our community,  we have been able to purchase additional medical equipment from the wish list provided by our clinicians. This equipment helps relieve distress and hardship for patients, and ranges from equipment that can be loaned to patients, equipment that makes hospital treatment less stressful and more comfortable, and equipment that helps get faster and better health outcomes.

Some recent equipment that has been funded with supporter assistance is:

• An additional neonatal humidicrib
• An ECG machine for for our Brain and Mind Centre
• A portable ultrasound machine in our Dialysis Ward
• New high tech cots for the babies born at our Wodonga Hospital

Helping Babies to Breathe

Our thanks to Murray River Police District for raising the $4,000 needed to purchase Newborn Anne. This little mannequin will help to train over 100 staff each year in neonatal resuscitation.

Some babies need resuscitation after they are born. Newborn Anne will help our team to practice;

• facemask ventilation CPR for babies intubation
• umbilical venous catheterisation administering adrenalin
